The most ancient suburb
of Scilla is Chianalea and gets its name from "piana della galea", but it’s
also called Acquagrande or Canalea, because the small houses that directly
stands on the rock-cliffs are separate one another by small lanes, similar
to channels, that directly go down in the Tyrrhenian sea.
Important tourist
and bathing place north of Reggio, Scilla constitutes one among the most beautiful and characteristic suburbs of Italia, destination
of many artists in different ages and nationality and is a very popular
summer destination.
